That's right. After a 2 month wait, all of my newgrounds-released music is finally available for use on Geometry Dash.

Unfulfilled Day concludes the efforts at matching almost all of my "official" releases to this Newgrounds account. I say almost because missing from here is the "Confrontation Score Collection V2" album from January of 2023, reason being it's a soundtrack (so there's very short tracks or just plain ambiance) which I don't think qualifies for high-effort uploads.
I will consider uploading two songs from there, though. Titular track "Confrontation" because it's some 5 minutes of symphonic metal and "The Controversial OTP" because it's 80's love ballad fused with orchestra.
Well, new creations will have to wait. An unfortunate side effect of creating 40 uploads (music video and song itself all in one) in the span of a year, mathematically giving a rate of almost 1 upload per week, is burnout. Sometimes uploads stacked up, like August having 5 uploads (1 being a full-fledged cinematic music video) or October's 6 uploads (with 2 songs scrapped halfway through). Sometimes there were breaks or months with 1 or 2 uploads. But that still doesn't include the 140 OTHER little songs, covers, doodles made that weren't publicly released. And things were rapidly accelerating towards the end of the year (notorious for its "winter blues") with less time available.
Point is, that was a lot. So much so that I'm running on fumes at this point, creative energy completely drained. That's why uploads are being reduced to 1 per month for the first half of the year and all uploads are strictly covers (they require a bit less effort than making everything yourself) meaning nothing new will be on here for that time period, as covers aren't allowed. That's why the schedule is on shaky ground at the moment. That's why my head hurts. So on and so forth, you get the point.
Creating only-covers on YouTube means nothing new could be on here for the entire year. Or I could abandon that and create more music here!
After all, putting in hours of effort into planning, sketching, producing, designing, and editing a video, then uploading that to YouTube to be met by an outstanding audience of:
is pretty fucking demoralizing, makes me want to absolutely quit and never make music again, and leads to some very, very dangerous feelings and/or thoughts. It also increase the rate at which burnout could occur.
However, I feel much more genuinely appreciated on here. The reception motivates me to continue, a vast difference from YouTube (where it feels like it's trying to tell me I'm worthless every other video). But I don't quite want to abandon a medium to favor another, because I love creating covers and I love innovating on my own editing processes and visual effects. I don't want to push aside the platform where I first built an audience. But I'd like to make my own music sometime.
We'll see.

Now that I luckily don't have to wait 3 days for each song to be uploaded due to copyright-ownership-verification-whatevers, I can begin to bring all of my self-made songs from YouTube on to here (sadly, covers are not allowed).
I'll start with Devil's Music Mix (October 2023), which had an additional 5 other songs that aren't Metal Shadow Dreams, the more commonly known one. I don't know if they're as good as MSD (that one will always be my favorite) but I like orderly things and having all of them on NG sounds like a good idea.
I'm also working, on-and-off, on a remake of DMM which will definitely be a prioritized upload on here so yay.
